2025 IFMAR 1/8th E-buggy Worlds – Marcus Kaerup is world champion!

The following race report is from Chris:

Team Associated racer Marcus Kaerup is the first world champion in the 1/8th electric buggy class! After keeping his cool in a rather tense first final, Kaerup now had to confirm his success in the A2 , which was no easy task, as many wanted to take 1st spot from him to keep the suspense going for a while longer. Another time, gentlemen! The finale was rather clear-cut, with Kaerup slowly but steadily pulling away at the front. The difference in grip and traction between Kaerup and his team-mate Davide Ongaro was obvious, which is why the Italian driver was never really able to keep up with his young team-mate for very long. Ongaro could only do his best, unable to give the change. Michal Orlowski also suffered from Kaerup’s domination and had to settle for 3rd position. Clément Boda and Juan Carlos Canas spent most of the race close together. Boda’s 4th place was short-lived, however, as he was disqualified from the race following the technical inspection. His batteries, although approved and in compliance with the regulations, had been changed for the final, but unfortunately they hadn’t been checked beforehand…
