Press Release JConcepts introduced new bodies for SCX24 juillet 30, 2025 by Chris Laisser un commentaire Shopping! Wartelle Shop Shopping! RC Team Shopping! Absolute Hobbyz The following press releases are from JConcepts: JConcepts continues to build crawler body options with the addition of the Warlord designed for the Axial SCX24 5.2” wheelbase vehicles. The Warlord has tucked front and rear fenders to allow clearance for an assortment of tire options while also giving the body shell a very competition inspired look. The new body combines elements from vintage vehicles while carrying some new ruggedness and attitude which JConcepts can provide. In addition, the Warlord includes a roof visor which can be installed separately to give the roof a top and windshield overhang if the user visualizes it this way. The JConcepts philosophy on a tucked body is to make it look like a truck, add allowances for increased articulation, minimal overhang and to accommodate competition sized tires. The single cab body brings back the memories of bench seating, lap seat beats, with AM/FM radio turned up to the max. Vintage JConcepts body shells arrive clear in the package, have preinstalled overspray film, include versatile decal sheet, and window masks. The Warlord body is formed in clear polycarbonate and to give the user more detail, the mold is built in several pieces to give front and rear undercuts. These details are seen in witness lines on the body where body molding elements blend together. The user will see body lines in the front because of this feature. The body can be painted over the witness lines or using them as part of their own design, the choice is always up to the consumer on decoration of a JConcepts body. The shell has plenty of hard details sculpted into the design, with square front headlights, horizontal turn signaling, extended nose with upper scoop for rigidity. The paneling across the sides has plenty of change in direction, giving some dent side effects and a hard separation from the cab to bed. The narrow front nose Tucks to 2.67” (68mm) in width giving the Warlord plenty of front-end clearance for JConcepts Tuck, Landmines tire combinations. Running the body at a lower height and especially on vehicles such as the Axial SCX24 give the proper look and stance designers from JConcepts had in mind. Larger opening wheel well and fender flares make their way into this project and blend smoothly into the profile giving a little more might and matter. Single window cab, door lines, hood lines are all intact on the JConcepts piece to overcome all obstacles. Flat rear bed area makes the look simple, yet effective with a touch of realism, rear window is scribed into place, rear taillight area is bossed for decals and tailgate piece has accommodations for Axial body mounting geometry. The clear pre-trimmed body is completely factory cut with an incredible edge finish around the wheel wells, along with front and rear bumper areas. The pre-trimmed decals apply easily and quickly, and the included window mask has already been tailored to the exact shapes of the windows for an easy-to-use concept. Appling the grille, and headlights finalize the look, place miscellaneous JConcepts, and Warlord logos about the shell for the best look. The JConcepts team builds, tests, and travels the world to support the brand and gathers valuable driver feedback in search of the best appearing and performance items on the market. The product is designed in the U.S.A. and always backed by JConcepts customer service, supported, and developed by professionals with style. Look for reputable dealers and distributors and demand authentic products – choose JConcepts. Features: Warlord concept with tucked fenders Clear, pre-trimmed body with protective film Body measures 3.11” (79mm) in center section width Fits a variety of crawler truck platforms Scale inspired body, cab, and window design 1:1 headlight and grille treatment Clear heavy-duty polycarbonate with protective film Window masks and detailed pre-trimmed Warlord decal sheet The station wagon you didn’t know you needed has now arrived from JConcepts. Originally, the Chevy Corvair was introduced as an affordable compact car to compete in the 1960’s sales market with the Volkswagen Beetle. Having the distinct pleasure of being the only American-designed, mass-produced passenger car with rear-mounted and air-cooled engine, the Corvair was unique. During the 1961 model year, Chevrolet introduced a station wagon version giving an amazing amount of floor space and trunk space to an emerging customer base. In the RC world of crawling machines, nothing has come close to the vibes the Corvair puts off. After numerous requests, JConcepts responded to customers with a modified off-road version of the Corvair vehicle. The queen and family truckster of the mini crawler truck world, the Lakewood is precisely designed by the crew to have rigid lines, scale attributes, and newly vested off-road appeal. The vehicle scales well to the Axial SCX24, 5.2” wheelbase vehicles found commonly in mini-RC and incorporates slightly larger wheel wells to house crawling tires like the Tusk, Landmines, and Ruptures. The station wagon appears fresh and crosses over quite well with multiple side windows which have been recessed and heavily outlined for detail. The mark of the Corvair, the wrap-around front windshield is very 1960’s, and without it, just wouldn’t be the same. The roof of the body has louver paneling for increased buckle strength but a lot of real estate for different body mounting. Door lines provide a nice reminder of the heavy metal parts previously used in car and truck manufacturing. JConcepts went all out with a multi-piece mold to enable the greatest amount of detail located at the front and rear of the body shell. The Lakewood has major undercuts, specifically to show off the front headlight and bezel detail that is maximized with dual headlights. A round front bumper blends into the fender work while allowing the use of many aftermarket bumpers to extend in front depending on the chassis of choice. The flat grille area is matched with crispy decals and a centered Corvair logo. The rear section of the body tucks to the bottom cutline allowing space for the round rear bumper to flow right into the design. Rear taillights are double trouble, featuring a deep pull to separate them from the rear door and hatch. Body lines highlight important rear detail while the rear window treatment is open and includes plenty of room for decals located on the sheet. Fender flares border the body shell and show a slight lip giving an already structured body a more hard-edge punch. The clear pre-trimmed body is completely factory cut with an incredible edge finish around the wheel wells, along with front and rear bumper areas. The item has overspray film already applied to the surface and will peel easily after the finalized paint and body mounting details are performed by the user. Window masks are also included and designed to fit straight into the body for the quickest and easiest process to get the driver to the trails in a hurry. A full spread of JConcepts decals is included and feature everything from Corvair logos to JConcepts Adventure Team logos, all the way to fine chrome trim, license plates, headlight, taillights, and suave grille and door handles. An entire line-up of Rangers was produced with several different trim options available to accommodate an ever-growing truck enthusiast crowd. JConcepts steps into the mid-sized body shell truck market with the 1992 Ford Ranger release to fit the Axial SCX24 6.1” wheelbase truck. The shape of the Ford during this generation is simplistic but heavily functional. A work-truck attitude includes rigid side-panels buckled with wheel flares, notched horizontal body line with extended cab concept and recessed windows. The Ranger was a truck built for convenience and economy but blazed with all the important functions of a worker-bee. Stacking the odds against the Ranger is not advisable, it is ready for a list of tasks. JConcepts included decal options for 1980’s and 1990’s models with a total of three different grille options offered on the pre-cut decal sheet. The front bumper combines the look for a stock layout and can be user painted to match body color or can be tricked out to chrome or silver. The rear bumper has an overhang allowing drivers to paint or remove to give whichever look suits the build. The entire bed is slightly recessed for mounting versatility and enables a flat surface which can be painted for a bed cover look. Each package contains clear and pre-trimmed body shell, pre-cut window mask, and detailed decal sheet. As always, each JConcepts product is backed with racing heritage, customer support and RC dedication. When sizing up the mid-sized pick-up, do not underestimate a champion, the “Built Ford Tough” Ranger by JConcepts.
