Wings Avid Racing 7” high-clearance, low drag wing août 1, 2024 by Chris Laisser un commentaire After months of development, Avid Racing’s have announced the release of their new 7″ wide wing, designed for all 1/10th buggies with high clearance wheel cutouts and low drag. It features a flat but curved front lip to speed the air up going over it with a smooth transition to the low pressure 18.5 degree rear section so there are no pockets or hard edges to disrupt the flow. An innovative feature Avid incorporated in is a small raised line in the center, allowing easy centering during mounting. Additionally, the wing includes eight support ribs on the sides to maintain structural integrity. We also offer two gurney options to adjust the rear bite to your preference and two thickness (lightweight and standard). Shopping! RC Team Shopping! My name is David Joor and I owned and ran RC10B4.com which became the largest vehicle focused community in RC for the 4th Generation of the vehicles from Team Associated. I developed the RC Pro Series website which at one point was the largest national racing series in the USA. I was also responsible for the web development and branding of Jconcepts, RCAmerica, Kinetix, and CEFX. In other words, this isn’t my first race/rodeo. I first got my name out there between 1998-2001 when I became a full factory driver for Team Losi / Trinity / Novak and traveled around the US doing what I love. In 2002, a partner and I opened a hobby shop with an indoor carpet track called Kinetix RC. Although the shop was sold to a larger company in town, my partner continued the growth of Kinetix RC through a battery company. Between 2003-2006 I raced professionally for RCAMERICA, Xray, Hudy, Ko Propo, Proline, Rocket Science, Avid, Kinetix, Racer’s Edge, and Upgrade RC. I also assisted with the team management for Xray and RCA on the US side during this time which was great fun. From 2012-2015 I was a full factory driver for Team Associated (a lifelong dream) as well as the southern based team manager to assist Brent Thielke. Leaving AE was a very difficult decision but Avid was beginning to develop products for other manufacturers which required me to test other vehicles and being fair to AE it was a business decision to leave such a great team.
