Fance, Europe 2024 EFRA European Championship 1/8th E-buggy – Davide Ongaro crowned European champion juin 9, 2024 by Chris Laisser un commentaire Davide Ongaro has just won the A2 final by almost 7s over Juan Carlos Canas at the European E-buggy championship held at the MBM track in Montpellier, France, making him with 2 wins in 3 finals the new European champion. Davide put in a solid, flawless race, leaving his pursuers to fight it out for runner-up spots. Once again, João Figueiredo got off to a flying start, then gradually lost ground under the threat of Juan Carlos Canas, before finally finishing 3rd. By not being as incisive at the start of the final, Juan Carlos lost the opportunity to stay in contact with Davide and, despite his undeniable speed, it was too late and, above all, too risky to catch the Italian driver at the end of the race. Only the top 4 would make it past the 18-lap mark. After an impressive first final, Noha Ben Mohamed was in more trouble, finishing only 9th.
