JConcepts RC10B7 & RC10B7D titanium screw sets

JConcepts have introduced their new titanium screw sets intended for use with the Team Associated RC10B7 and RC10B7D 1/10th 2WD buggies. An easy way to trim weight, the screw set starts with high-quality titanium material machined to tight tolerances making them durable, easy to use, and one of the most glamorous items to add to a racing vehicle. The JConcepts team wanted a design that wasn’t the usual or simply picked from a catalog, it was necessary to change the button head and cap head style into something unique. The top hat name was given for the look of the hex head appearing rather formal and once combined with available burnt blue or stealth black colors, looks extraordinary.

Screws are anodized in either burnt blue or stealth black colors and range in length to satisfy the vehicle. The 77-piece screw set contains many top hat screws in various sizes as well as anodized and titanium flat head screws which are used in several areas throughout the upper side of the build.

The top hat screw, designed during the 2021 racing season went through many tests over the course of time and have made it to famous builds by Ryan Maifield, Spencer Rivkin, Paul Wynn, and Jason Ruona.

The lower screws feature a 3mm thread base that grips well into plastic or when used against aluminum holes found routinely in the suspension components.

The items are separated in bags and labeled for each area on the vehicle along with the size of each screw. On the RC10B7, it is recommended to only use the kit steel M3x16mm SHCS when installing the steering bell-cranks to the front bulkhead. No screw has been included for this due to impact strength and location benefits of using a standard SHCS screw. Using high-quality wrench sets like the JConcepts or MIP metric hex drivers will prolong the life of screws and make racing life much simpler in the long run.
