Arizona, USA Davide Ongaro TQs 4WD buggy at 2023 IFMAR 1/10th off-road world championship septembre 12, 2023 by Chris Laisser un commentaire The 2023 IFMAR 1/10th off-road world championship officially kicked off on Monday and is being held at Hobby Action RC raceway located in Chandler, Arizona. The stunning facility is housing a clay track that has been perfectly set up for the world event. The AKA Slick tires in clay compound, as controlled tires, should be used at the front and rear of 4WD buggies, the class that is opening the show. The most experienced racers on this kind of surface are undoubtedly the American drivers, as clay tracks are almost unknown in Europe. As we know, this advantage is not necessarily crucial at this racing stage, and the examples where logic should have prevailed but didn’t show that nothing is written in stone. The two-time 1/8th nitro buggy world champion is a perfect illustration of what I mean. Davide Ongaro (Team Associated/O.S Engines/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/ONG Products/Matrix Racing Tires) doesn’t ride much in 1/10th, never on clay tracks, and right from the start he stamped his mark on the race by winning the first 3 finals, which already secured him the overall TQ. The 4th and final qualifying round will be won by another European driver, Michal Orlowski (Schumacher Racing/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Piranha/Hot Race Tyres). 1/10th 4WD Buggy top 10: Davide Ongaro Michal orlowski Dustin Evans Spencer Rivkin Bruno Coelho Broc Champlin Dakotah Phend Marcus Kaerup Cole Tollard Tater Sontag Photo: Team Associated Partagez96TweetezEnregistrer96 PartagesAbout ChrisFounder of circusrc.com, journalist & photographer in the RC world for several years, Chris is passionate about RC, racing and technique.
