Spain, Europe 2023 EFRA European 1/8th nitro buggy championship: Juan Carlos Canas captures Q4 septembre 1, 2023 by Chris Laisser un commentaire The day began early this morning at the Redovan track in Spain, venue for the 2023 European Championship. As the track’s grip is greatly affected by the temperature, it’s not surprising that none of the drivers managed to pass the 7-lap mark this morning. Yesterday, in the 3rd round of qualifying, SWORKz driver Juan Carlos Canas set the fastest 7 laps so far, and looks set to continue in the same way, as he set the fastest time with 6 laps in 5:03.916. Portugal’s João Figueiredo confirmed his speed, coming in 2nd just 0.3s behind the Spanish champion. With a lap time of 50.180, João took the fastest lap time. Berkan Kilic shows once again his skill in combining speed and consistency, which should put him in good condition for the semi-final. Another SWORKz driver rounded off the top 5, Mattia Polito, who, although less consistent, showed great pace, setting a time less than 2s slower than the pole man.
