UK BRCA 1/8th circuit Rd4 – Report août 1, 2022 by Chris Laisser un commentaire Round four of the series followed a new regional approach with the 1/10ic section so drivers could compete at Wombwell or Adur circuits. There was a nice atmosphere in the pits and the red hot weather meant for a good weekend’s racing for all. At Wombwell Alex Thurston took TQ for Capricorn but had some engine flame outs in the final which dropped him down. This would give Tim Wood the opportunity to return to the top for Shepherd with his luck back from team mate John Carr coming home 2nd and Alex recovering to take third. Tim Wood (Shepherd/Picco)John Carr (Shepherd/Picco)Alex Thurston (Capricorn/One) In Electric Michael Walton dominated again for Serpent with TQ and win with Justin Heath having his best ever drive in 1/8 to take second from Lee Henson with some good battles going on in the finals. Michael Walton (Serpent)Justin Heath (Serpent)Lee Henson (Capricorn) In the B final for nitro it was great to see a few different drivers with young Bailey Rice-Draycott taking the win from Richard Boult and top Xray driver Jon Withington coming third. Meanwhile at Adur Mark Green dominated with his Serpent 990 qualifying from Niall Cochran and Geraint Williams. In the A-final Mark was able to win by many laps from Chairman Lee Palmer and third place was Ralph Crampton. In Electric Greg Fairlie was to TQ from Adrian Dew, in the final Greg would run out winner with his Serpent from local driver Graham Hurley with Adrian taking third also driving a Serpent. Thanks to Michael Walton for the report.
