California, USA Ty Tessmann wins at 2022 The Dirt Nitro Challenge warm-up janvier 11, 2022 by Chris Laisser un commentaire The 2022 The Dirt Nitro Challenge warm-up was held at the Dirt track in Perris, California, the event attracting 173 entries. The layout was extremely fast but not too challenging at the start but it would change as the weekend went on. Friday, open practice started at 2pm and Saturday there were three qualifiers. Cole Ogden (HB Racing/Ultimate Racing/VP Powermaster/Performa Racing/Hot Race Tyres) set the overall TQ in the Pro nitro buggy class. Sunday will be run the 30 minutes main on a really rough and blown out track. Ty Tessmann (XRAY/FX Engines/Hobbywing/Hot Race Tyres), coming from the sixth spot on the starting grid, got a good start and made his way up to 2nd for a few laps and then made a mistake which dropped him to 3rd. He stayed 3rd for about 14 laps and then he made his way back up and swapped between 1st and 2nd, and ended up in first for the last part of the race to take the win. The TQ holder Cole came in second while Ryan Cavalieri (TLR/Ielasi Tuned/Hobbywing/Sunpadow/Pro-Line Racing) ended the day on the third spot.
