Florida, USA Ryan Maifield takes 2021 ROAR E-buggy and E-truck National titles juillet 19, 2021 by Chris Leave a Comment The 2021 ROAR Off-road Electric 1/8th Scale Nationals were held at SS Hobbies & Raceway located in Tampa, Florida over the weekend. The turnout was a bit lower than expected with only 80 entries. E-buggy saw Canadian racer Ty Tessmann (XRAY/FX Engines/Hobbywing/Hot Race Tyres) taking the overall TQ however the former World Champion wouldn’t be able to convert the TQ into the win as Ryan Maifield (Mugen Seiki/Maxima Engines/Flash Point Fuel/Hobbywing/JConcepts) came out on top after the triple A-mains. The Phenom Dakotah Phend (TLR/O.S.Engines/Trinity/JConcepts) came in second and Lee Setser (Team Associated/O.S.Engines/Reedy/JConcepts) in third. Ryan was in control of things in E-truggy as he set the overall TQ after four rounds of qualifying and then won the last two finals to take another title. Ty secured the overall runner-up spot with the A1 win, while Joe Bornhorst (Tekno RC/BLOK Engines/Tekin/JConcepts) ended the day on the third spot.
