France Armand Lantheaume doubles at French 1/10th Off-road Champs Rd2 juillet 12, 2021 by Chris 2 Comments The second round of the French 1/10th Off-road Championship was held at the Pégase RC Racing track located in Apt, in the south east of France. The oiled track was well prepared and it will be pretty challenging over the weekend for racers. Add super hot weather conditions, which will impact the grip on the track, and you get a real brain teaser to have a good performing car at every run. Armand Lantheaume (XRAY/Aigoin Racing/Team Corally) will be the most talented, setting overall TQ after the rounds of qualifying in both the 2WD Buggy and 4WD Buggy. Armand carried that momentum into the mains, taking the win in all three 2WD Buggy finals, while in 4WD Buggy, Clément Boda (Team Associated/Reedy/Wartelle Shop/JConcepts) he will manage to keep the suspense alive with a win in A2, but a technical issue will require Clément to ask for a postponement to repair and by starting in last position on the starting grid. Armand will take advantage of this to set a strong pace to avoid a possible return to the leading squad. With two wins, Armand secured the overall win in 4WD Buggy. After a solid race, Thomas Anger (XRAY/Aigoin Racing/Hobbywing) came in second and Clément in third in 2WD Buggy. Clément and the yound and talented racer Noha Benmohamed (XRAY/Aigoin Racing/FX Engines/Nosram/Futaba/Hot Race Tyres) came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in 4WD Buggy. Cyril Castaldo (XRAY/Aigoin Racing) came out on top in Truck followed by the Schumacher Racing duo of Alexander Valente (Schumacher Racing) in 2nd and Philippe Hautecoeur (Schumacher Racing) in 3rd.
