Estonia Lainemae & Alt win at Estonian 1/8th Off-road Nats Rd1 juin 10, 2021 by Chris Leave a Comment The opening round of the 2021 Estonian 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at Tartu RC Track this past weekend. The 1/8th Nitro Buggy class saw Hendrik Lainemae (XRAY/FX) taking the overall TQ after three rounds of qualifying followed by Rainer Ressar (XRAY/FX) in second and Tonis Lattik in third. Hendrik led the final from start to finish while the battle for 2nd spot was between Rainer and Arco Aria (Mugen/Picco). The battle lasted till final lap until Arco flamed out and Rainer passed him to take second place. The E-buggy saw a close battle all day between Hendrik, Randolf Alt (XRAY) and Karl Martinson (XRAY) and finally Hendrik was able to take the TQ. In the first final Randolf took the win followed by Karl in second and Markus in third. The second final was won by Hendrik who retired in the first final due to technical issues and was now able to defend his TQ spot from Karl and Randolf till finish. The third final was the deciding one, in the beginning it was Randolf who got the early lead but lost it after a small crash to Hendrik. Hendrik was able to pull away a bit till his rear tire started to become unglued mid race slowing him down. Having a trouble to defend his spot, Randolf was able to make a pass and take home the overall win in E-Buggy class followed by Hendrik in second and Karl in third spot.
