Texas, USA Caldwell & Lefebvre win at 2021 Spec Tire Nats mai 4, 2021 by Chris Leave a Comment This past weekend was held the 2021 Spec Tire Nats at Thornhill Racing Circuit located in Hutto, Texas. The event had a great turnout with 274 entries and in the Expert 1/8th Nitro Buggy it was Spencer Klein (Tekno RC/Muchmore Racing/AKA) who set the overall TQ while Ethan Lefebvre (XRAY/FX Engines/Hobbywing/AKA) was able to take the TQ in Expert E-buggy. The 30-minute Nitro Buggy final saw Dillon Caldwell (HB Racing/REDS Racing/VP Fuel/JConcepts), coming from the 2nd spot on the grid, quickly take the lead and held a 4 second lead on the field for the first 15 minutes. On his 15-minute mark pit lap, he made a mistake because of a car flamed out in front of him and he lost the lead for the benefit of Brandon Rose (Agama/Picco/Tekin/Pro-Line Racing). After an amazing battle with a sportsmanship between both racers, Dillon was able to keep Brandon behind him and take the win. Brandon came in second while Tyler Hooks (Tekno RC/Team Tekin Racing/BLOK Engines/AKA) ended the day on the third spot. In E-buggy A1, Phi-long Nguyen (HB Racing/Performa Racing/JConcepts) and Ethan were in the lead with 2s gap from Dillon. After about 5 minutes, Dillon started to push more and caught up both of them. They both had bobbles and Dillon was able to get by and take the win. In A2 Ethan was able to keep it clean from the start and take the win just barely over Brandon. With a first and second place, Ethan get the overall win followed by Dillon and Brandon, in 2nd and 3rd respectively.
