Louisiana, USA Maifield, Phend & Wiggins win at 2020 Southern Nationals Indoor Off-road race septembre 21, 2020 by Chris Leave a Comment The 2020 Southern Nationals Indoor Off-road race was held at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe, Louisiana over the weekend, attracting more than 400 entries for the usual mix of nitro and electric 1/8th Off-road classes. The Pro Nitro Buggy class was TQed and won by Ryan Maifield (Mugen Seiki/Mx Engines/Hobbywing/Flash Point Fuel/JConcepts), leaving behind Jared Tebo (Tekno RC/Maxima Mx/Maclan/AKA) in second and Dakotah Phend (TLR/O.S.Engines/Trinity/JConcepts) in third. Ryan Lutz (Agama/Bullitt/Piranha/Tekin/AKA) and Cole Ogden (HB Racing/REDS Racing/VP Powermaster/Performa Racing/Hot Race Tyres) rounded out the top 5 result. R.Maifield also would sweep the Pro E-buggy class, taking the overall TQ and win from D.Phend and Ryan Cavalieri (SWORKz/Mx Engines/Muchmore Racing/Raw Speed) in second and third respectively. Joe Bornhorst (Tekno RC/BLOK Engines/Tekin/Pro-Line Racing) came in fourth while Spencer Rivkin (Team Associated/Mx Maxima/Hobbywing/ JConcepts) completed the top 5 result. The Pro Nitro Truggy class saw another TQ from R.Maifield however in the final it was D.Phend with the win. R.Cavalieri came in second and J.Tebo ended the day in third. Tebo’s teammate Seth VanDalen (Tekno RC/O.S.Engines/JConcepts) came in four while Brandon Rose (Agama/Picco/Tekin/Pro-Line Racing) in fifth. Jared Wiggins (Tekno RC/BLOK Engines/VP Racing Fuels/Team Tekin Racing/Pro-Line Racing) was in control of things in E-truggy as he set the overall TQ and brought home the win from David Olsen (Tekno RC/Pro-Line Racing) and Brad Collins (XRAY/VP PowerMaster Fuel), in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Miss Bella (HB Racing/Performa Racing/Team Orion/JConcepts) and Shon « Big Grin » Harding (XRAY/Team Trinity/Pro-Line Racing) rounded out the top 5.
