Switzerland Nico Schmid takes double Swiss 1/10 Buggy titles septembre 9, 2019 by Chris Leave a Comment The fifth and final round of the Swiss 1/10 Buggy Nationals was held at the TIT track over the weekend. The track was unpredictable and very bumpy. In these very difficult conditions it was Kay Frehner (XRAY) who set the overall TQ in the 4WD class. In the first 4WD final K.Frehner had to retire because of tyre problems and Philip Jeisy (XRAY) took the win. In A2 K.Frehner managed to keep the lead until the end. In A3, K.Frehner, Florian Schmid (XRAY) and P.Jeisy are close fights together for the first few laps. Finally, K.Frehner grabbed the win from P.Jeisy in second and F.Schmid in third. However it was Nico Schmid (XRAY) who took title in 4WD Modified Buggy. In the 2WD class, Nico Schmid (XRAY) took the win in the first final and K.Frehner in the second. In the last final, N.Schmid and K.Frehner pulled away from the rest of the field but in the last third K.Frehner couldn’t keep N.Schmid’s pace and made some mistakes. In the end, N.Schmid took the win and the title from K.Frehner in second and his brother F.Schmid in third.
